Heroes
Motorbikes are featured in numerous examples of children’s television. This is because they offer the chance for an exciting chase scene. Saturday morning cartoons rely on keeping the young viewers entertained. Sequences with high speed motorcycle action are ideal for ensuring that their attention is fixed to the screen.
Superheroes will often be seen riding on these vehicles. The animated Batman series is a prime example of this. The bikes the characters use can on occasion be specially made models that incorporate weaponry to subdue the villains.
Sharks
Street Sharks is another show that heavily features the use of these vehicles. They are rode by the titular characters who are half human, half shark hybrids. They travel across Fission City on their bikes, fighting crime and defeating monsters. In later seasons they utilise motorcycles during a conflict between two factions: the Dino Vengers and Raptor Gang.
Bikes can also be seen in live action TV kids shows. Armour covered heroes such as the Kamen Riders and Power Rangers are seen on occasion to use them. So too does Wonder Woman. The heyday for seeing motorcycles on children’s programmes was during the late 1990’s to early 2000’s
